5 Ways to Improve Your Money Mindset

Why do some people succeed when it comes to money, and why do some fail? There are several factors, but the consistent element is the most complex–your mindset.

Your mindset is what separates you from everyone else. However, to succeed, you’re going to have to make some changes to get to the next level.

I’ll share with you five ways to improve your money mindset to unlock more financial prosperity!

Your money mindset affects your personal finances daily! These 5 tips can help you create a positive money mindset for more financial prosperity!

Affirmations

It may sound dorky, but repeating specific phrases every day, or several times a day, can shift your money mindset. Many people do this during their journaling time. Others have affirmations written on a small piece of paper and carry it around with them. Some have it on their phone or written by their bedside.

Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich states that affirmations are more than just repetitive gestures. It transforms into faith, believing you can achieve what you set out to do. Also, affirmations become imprinted in your mind, in the subconscious, and may eventually come true.

Simple affirmations include:

  • Money comes to me easily.
  • I naturally attract money.
  • I am wealthy and successful.

Of course, there are many more money affirmations to choose from or passages from your favorite books to select. If you’re religious, you can pick excerpts from scriptures that meant something to you.

In the book The Game of Life and How to Play It by Florence Scovel Shinn, she has an affirmation just for prosperity:

“God is my unfailing supply, and large sums of money come to me quickly, under grace, in perfect ways.”

Change How You Feel About Money

Rhonda Byrne’s beloved book, The Secret, has a whole chapter on money. The biggest takeaway is to change the way how you feel about money, which can improve your money mindset.

For instance, if you thought money was the root of evil, why on earth would it come knocking at your door?

The Secret also mentions to focus on wealth, and not lack of wealth. They insist thinking of debt puts you in more debt. You have to believe money will come to you no matter what, from anywhere. Fill your money mindset with abundance and not scarcity.

Practice Gratitude

If you’re entering the game of money-making, one way or another you’ve heard about gratitude. Every entrepreneurial and manifestation book has this concept in common, isn’t that strange?

The book The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles has an interesting take on gratitude, even describing what takes place when you give thanks to your highest power, whomever you choose that to be. Also, he goes as far as to say there is a “Law of Gratitude,” stating you must “observe” the law to get the results you want.

Wattles states your gratitude must be constant, which makes the reaction from God or the universe stronger.

An interesting excerpt from Wattle’s “Gratitude” chapter will give you better insight into the power of being grateful:

“The grateful outreaching of your mind in thankful praise to the Supreme is a liberation or expenditure of force; it cannot fail to reach that to which it addressed, and the reaction is an instantaneous movement towards you.”

Always Be a Student

When you’re out there hustling, you will face many obstacles that will make you feel temporary defeat.

Instead of feeling defeated, learn from it. You may have heard there’s no such thing as losing, only learning. Losses are lessons is another saying that resonates with some.

Our environments are constantly changing, and adapting by learning can change your outlook on the current situation.

Once you’re able to turn a negative to a positive, you will improve your money mindset.

A Will to Win

One of my favorite sayings is:

“Where there’s a will, there’s a way.”

Having a drive and wanting to win, not accepting defeat can take you to new heights unimaginable. The thought that you have nothing to lose and everything to gain will push you towards success.

Don’t Give Up

As a bonus tip, never give up! Find out what works and what doesn’t.

Also, reading books about manifesting wealth can improve your money mindset as well.
